Grizzy and the Lemmings – Crazy Party Is Out Now

Grizzy and the Lemmings are bringing their chaotic rivalry to consoles and PC with 50 mini-games and four-player local multiplayer.

Grizzy and the Lemmings – Crazy Party is officially available today, August 7, bringing the popular animated series to Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.

Developed and published by Belgian developer Balio Studio in collaboration with French animation studio HARI, Crazy Party marks the first console game based on Grizzy and the Lemmings.

The game is priced at $39.95 in the United States and is available digitally on Nintendo Switch, PS5, Xbox Series X|S, Steam, and the Epic Games Store. The Nintendo Switch version is also compatible with Nintendo Switch 2.

50 Mini-Games Built for Local Multiplayer

As its name suggests, Crazy Party is all about multiplayer mayhem.

Up to four players can compete locally across 50 mini-games featuring a mixture of action, reflex, timing, and cooperative challenges. Solo players aren’t left out, either, as empty player slots can be filled by computer-controlled opponents.

The mini-games take inspiration from the slapstick rivalry at the center of the animated series.

Challenges include chasing down a runaway popcorn truck while catching kernels in mid-air, throwing food at Grizzy to keep him away from his fridge, scrambling to collect goodies from a broken piñata, surviving on a rapidly melting ice floor, and battling for points on a basketball court overflowing with balls.

The game includes six different modes designed to accommodate different group sizes and play-session lengths.

One notable limitation for players looking to challenge friends remotely is that Crazy Party does not feature online multiplayer. All multiplayer is local, supporting between one and four players on the same system.

Five Boards and 40 Playable Characters

Players can compete across five boards inspired by locations from the animated series:

Ranger’s House
Nutty Hill Road
Diamond Mine
Yummy Factory
Lunar Base

There’s also plenty to unlock along the way.

Crazy Party features 40 playable characters, with 32 requiring players to unlock them through gameplay. Players can also collect 150 stickers.

According to Balio Studio, all of the game’s launch content is available from day one rather than being held back for later release.

The developer isn’t finished after launch, however. Free content updates are planned that will introduce additional mini-games following the game’s release.

Grizzy and the Lemmings Make Their Console Debut

The launch represents another expansion for the Grizzy and the Lemmings franchise, which first debuted as an animated series in 2016.

The dialogue-free comedy revolves around Grizzy, a bear who would generally prefer to relax with his food and television, and a group of energetic lemmings whose increasingly ridiculous antics routinely destroy any chance he has of getting some peace.

That constant back-and-forth makes the franchise a natural fit for the competitive party-game format, particularly with Crazy Party focusing heavily on short challenges designed to be played with friends and family in the same room.

Balio Studio has also aimed for a broad audience, with the game carrying an ESRB E rating and support for 30 languages.
